Hospice

The Kensington Hospice is a 10-bed, palliative care home located in a beautiful historical building on a tree-lined street in Toronto. Our warm and inviting hospice is designed to respond to the needs of each resident facing life-limiting illnesses, as well as their bereaved families and friends.


Our volunteer roles

Resident and family care: Assist with taking meal orders, feeding assistance, answer call bells and communicate with nursing staff.

Reception: Welcome guests at the front reception desk, answer phone calls and assist with in-person inquiries.

Kitchen/nutrition: Ensure that meals are prepared and served to residents, that families and visitors have access to food and that sanitation standards are maintained.

Music care: Contribute to the atmosphere of the hospice through the performance of music.

Complimentary therapy: Participate as a member of the trans-disciplinary care team and practice therapy.
